<p>On the A+ (97-100) = 4.0, A (93-96) = 4.0, A- (90-92) = 3.7, …etc GPA scale, my UW gpa only comes out to be a 3.786. Is this too low for most top end colleges (not HYPSM level but Carnegie Mellon, Emory, Notre Dame, NYU, …etc) level?</p>

<p>GPA means nothing if you have no EC’s to back you up. There are plenty of applicants with GPA similar to yours, you need EC’s to stand out</p>
