agree the portal astrology is great. one note for astrologists - count goes up to 87 and then down to 83 which was disconcerting. congrats to all wait list admitees - it was a long wait but hopefully worth it.

The going down to 83 happened to my child fairly regularly through the entire cycle. I do think that is simply updating apps and absolutely nothing admissions related. The Terra Dotta addition plus the app count going up by one was the tell two years ago, and again this year.
Did everyone on the waitlist get the continued interest email today? We are wondering if it means anything or not.

….if anyone is still monitoring, please post if seeing portal changes. Another wave of waitlist decisions is likely this week. My portal has been going back and forth between 83 and 86 since Sunday. It helps to know when people start seeing the 87. Personally not holding out hope at this point, but has been entertaining.
My son has the same fluctuations - 83/86.
My daughter’s is going from 83-86 as well. Do we know if everyone got the last email about staying on the waitlist? Do they alert people randomly or is it one drop at a specific time?
Everyone remaining on the waitlist receives the email about continued interest.
I think the next wave will come this week because the last wave had to have their decision in on 5/17 or 5/18. The continued interest responses were also due at the same time. UW generally extends offers on the same day/time. The next group will have a week or so to decide. UW will also send another continued interest email. Once all those responses are back, they will do another wave. It will continue on until they have filled the freshman class.
The “tell” that the decisions will release in less than 24 hours is when someone reports they have 87 apps in their portal.
My daughter’s portal has 87 and includes the terra dotta now! Does that mean she got in? Her portal still says accepted waitlist.

Wait, now it’s down to 83 and terra dotta is gone! But it was definitely at 87 with terra dotta earlier.
The same thing happened to my son - saw 87 with terra dotta around 5 pm and now at 83.
My son is back at 87. I guess it jumps around! Good luck, everyone!

My daughter just got off the waitlist but there is no deadline to respond. Did anyone else get in with a deadline to respond?
FWIW - she got Terra Dotta yesterday and it fluctuated between 87 and 83 until now. She’s out of state Arts and Sciences.
My daughter got off too. She said she has until the 31st to let them know, but I’m not sure where she saw that.
Congrats! My son got off too. In the email, they said, “Accept your offer of admission no later than 11:59 p.m. (Pacific Time) on Sunday, May 31.”
