What about you guys, @JeanUjean and @lmt1610 ? Did you check to see if your transcript page loads?
My transcript still says “Student Personal Services”. Congrats to those whose transcript loaded.
@gNelly Yes the unofficial transcript link that leads to student personal services! It now loads to show a student number, birthdate, class, college, and major. I’ve heard mixed opinions about what it means if it loads, but I hope that everyone hears back from UW with official news soon! My heart is still pounding!
@JeanUjean I hope you’ll hear back soon!
I know everyone must be so nervous, and we probably all have different religions, but I’m earnestly praying for everyone! I really hope that we all hear good news soon!
Okay, thanks @keikeik . You guys should have a decision tonight/tomorrow morning. Best of luck to all!
Hey everyone I am feeling a little nervous about the decision. My transcript still has not loaded. And i know from applying and getting accepted to UW Bothell this year that as soon as transcript loads you get an acceptance letter the same or next day. Do you think it hurts my chances that I was accepted to Bothell?
My stats are 3.84 overall GPA from Seattle Central and I have 55 credits and am currently taking 20 more credits. High School GPA is low, but I am an older student so that was over 5 years ago.
Congrats to everyone whose transcript loaded. Be proud of your accomplishment and the great opportunity that awaits you.
@MS182347 , I wouldn’t stress it yet. It seems that the decisions go out in waves and we’re only 5 days in. Is is even certain that if the transcript loads-you’re in? If you don’t get in, at least you’re in for UW Bothell!!
If your transcript was viewable today… check your app status now.
@gNelly OMG APP STATUS SAYS CONGRATS I’M CRYING SOBBING WOW DREAMS REALLY DO COME TRUE Y’ALL
Yeah, I didn’t want to jinx my chances earlier but I did end up getting my transcript to load.
I got in this time-Ahhhhhhh what a relief. I also got a nice “congratulations.” Good luck to everyone else still awaiting your decision. I was denied on the first attempt for a different quarter, I didn’t give up, took more classes and reapplied. Still unbelievable, it feels like my life has been restored.
I just paid the $310 acceptance fee and I’m not even sad. This is the best $310 I have ever spent in my life. I just want to curl up in a ball and happy cry until next quarter.
Yes, I think if your unofficial transcript loads then you are in. I have yet to see a single person whose transcript loads not get in. Congrats @gNelly … What time did your transcript load? I feel like November 5 is the primary wave for acceptances. I still have not heard anything.
Mine loaded sometime this afternoon around 4:00 maybe. I really hope you get in @MS182347 -it’s the worst feeling ever not knowing. It has been torturous, as this was my last option before being thrown back into the workforce.
Congratulations to everyone that’s gotten in!
I haven’t heard anything yet. It’s very disappointing since I imagine I would be in the first wave of admissions as an in-state CC student. I figure my application was either rejected or waitlisted at this point. But maybe I’m jumping to conclusions. Knowing that decisions have gone out really ramps up the pressure.
@lmt1610 I am in the same boat. I have heard nothing. Just from looking back at posts on here from last year a ton of people were accepted on November 5th. And I agree with you after that it seemed like it was sort of a waitlist kinda of things and acceptances come in much slower. But, dont get me wrong people were still accepted after this date, but i think chances go down. I am also in state cc applicant 3.83 overall GPA took a few years off after high school and had a lower high school gpa. If you do not mind me asking what were your stats?
thanks for the kind words @gNelly … so happy for you. You must be very excited! Also, congrats to everyone else. I am going to keep my fingers crossed. And yes, the waiting is hard. I put in a lot of hard work to get a good GPA so hoping it pays off!
My college GPA is 2.9. I knew that applying at this range was a long shot to begin with, but I actually had a consistently high GPA throughout my two years at CC until it was nearly time to graduate and a total fluke came around and messed up my life. That was a few years ago and I had hoped that my essay would offset the impact of the massive cliff my grades fell off of. Perhaps not. I’m finishing my AA in a few weeks and I’m pulling a 4.0 this quarter, so I guess it’s not the worst thing if I have to apply again.
I just checked the portal and I GOT IN!!
Congrats. @LinzMarie !!
@lmt1610 and @MS182347 , don’t count yourself out just yet. I COMPLETELY understand where you are. Stay positive. Is this the first time you guys have applied and do you need to transfer to a uni right now or can you take more courses at your CC? I am at the junior status and therefore CC’s didn’t offer anymore classes that I need to move forward. Is UW your dream school or your only option? In the event that you didn’t make the cut this winter quarter, there are other options out there if your major is offered at say, SeattleU. Also, if you are dead set on UW- apply for Bothel or another location if you can. An admissions officer told me that your diploma will say the exact same thing (UW) regardless of which location you graduate from. If you’re not confined to Seattle, then apply elsewhere and live a little! I moved all over the country before landing in Seattle with my family. If you’re young and not tied down, explore. But you guys still have PLENTY of time to hear back. If you get too anxious, you can always call admissions and ask. Since they receive a smaller volume of apps for winter quarters, they might be straight forward with you and look up the status of your app. Stay positive, we’re all rooting for you guys.
Thanks for the positivity @gNelly. I called admissions today and asked them because I need to notify UW Bothell. And they said they are still making decisions and more acceptances are coming. I am just worried because if you look back at discussions on here last year a lot of in state CC applicants were admitted on November 5, which seemed to be the same for everyone posting on here this year as well. I could not find an instate applicant whose transcripts loaded on a different day than November 5. All the ones after November 5 were out of state. Also when I say admitted I mean transcript loaded… still crossing my fingers tho.
Is this accurate for all in state cc applicants that were accepted this year. Did anyones transcript load on a day other than November 5?
