It’s very complicated, in the wrong order (because I will still have an interview), and I also don’t think it’s my place to share, sorry!

Hey guys! I just made a thread for students who have been accepted to UWC 13-15, please write which school you have been accepted to! I’ll post the link here!

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/study-abroad/1487595-people-accepted-uwc-13-15-a.html#post15765094

@garyoak, good luck then! Go out and change the world I will be watching your blog. (Unless I get accepted myself, in which case I might start my own blog! haha)
waiting wasn’t so hard until on March 29 I realized that it was “late march early april” and now I’ve been checking my email every day! I got accepted for the program Shad Valley though and am going to Memorial University for the month of July, so at least I can be excited for that :)

@garyoak well okay! That’s a relief because I was worried i hadn’t got an email yet .Congratulations and good luck though I’ll also be following your blog!

Good luck to you both!! It would be so fun to know another BC student who got in!

Once again this is regarding the thread for newly accepted students, i will regularly be posting this message in hopes of finding new students:

Ideally inherent intent of FB-group and the http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/study-abroad/1487595-people-accepted-uwc-13-15-a.html#post15765094 thread is as to serve as a gateway, so that we may interconnect and hopefully find students from our respective Colleges.

I will create a FB-group named “UWC 13-15.” I realise that for many, discretion is preferable in regards to personal information on the Web, so please send me your name in a private message AND write a comment in above thread^^ and I will subsequently add you to the group (NB: It is a “secret group”, which cannot be found otherwise)

<a href=“International UWC 2013-15 | Facebook”>International UWC 2013-15 | Facebook;

This is an international group for uwc students 2013-2015! :)

Hey all! :’)

Does anyone have any tips on how to handle tough interview situations e.g what to do when we find we are asked a question that we don’t know how to answer…?

I’m afraid this could happen when it comes to questions about current events! What topics have other people been asked about? I’m thinking the North Korean issue is the biggest global one ATM.

I would immensely appreciate any advice, tips, questions about the interview!

Please help, my interview is this weekend haha :’)

@mmrnz13 the interview is very comfortable setting. Just like everyone else has said, be comfortable. Question wise, it’s mostly about your essays. It more of a conversation then interview, so don’t be worried. According to current events, in my interview the article was supplied to us and didn’t require any prior knowledge. Be comfortable, be yourself, do those and your interview will go well.

If they give you a difficult question, they will of course understand if you need a few seconds to think (which is what happened to me). They won’t expect you to be on the ball right away and come up with some fantastic right after hearing the question. Take your time!

Also, for all the applicants that are going to find out within the next few weeks if they got in, if you got into Mahindra, this is the facebook group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/411510772277556/ :)

My son is interviewing tonight! Crossing my fingers!

Hi everybody!!
I got my acceptance from UWC Pearson a few days ago and just wanted to know if there are any of my coyears here?

Congratulations! Which national committee are you from? The photos I have seen of Pearson are gorgeous. You are going to have a wonderful time.

Congrats on getting in!! As far as I know, nobody on here is going to Pearson. I posted your facebook group above though I know one of your co years from Norway, however. She’s really sweet.

Sorry guys, I just need to let out my nerves on here…! I have my interview tomorrow, 1st up as well Just been through a full on day of activities (we helped out at a kindergarten - cleaning, and painting) and had the pre-selection dinner which we found out who are some of the people who will be interviewing us tomorrow :o there will be 5 apparently. only now do i have some time to myself, and i’m being billeted at a house where the lady’s daughter went to LPC. it’s been great so far, and have met some incredible people.

ahh sooo, the big day is tomorrow!!! super nervous, just really don’t know what to expect. this weekend itself feels like a dream. so yeah that’s the update of the process in NZ :’)

Good luck! When will you know the results? What happened with the UWC they were going to build in New Zealand? I thought they were going up break ground but then it never happened!

@Apollo6 : Thank you so much! I’m so excited : ) I’m from Hong Kong but I lived in Canada for the first 10 years of my life - looking forward to see how much it changed. Hope your son did well on his interview!
