There was an editorial about vaccinations and their importance in the local paper a week ago. The number of whackadoos who commented (disagreeing) was unbelievable.
I’m beyond furious.
This is just absolutely disgusting. I’m really glad people in power continue to blatantly just allow innocent children (and immune compromised adults!) to suffer and die.

I think vaccines should stay, but as one who has been negatively affected by the preservatives in the tetnus plus whopping cough vaccine, I would appreciate a preservative free option for all vaccines and flu shots.

Thimerosal is more commonly used in multidose vials, so prefilled single dose syringes are less like to have it.

I’ve had those ‘anecdotes’ (bad things) happen to me in a couple of very serious ways in the last five years. One of those ‘anecdotes’ (rare result of surgery) I contracted has a 33% mortality rate, but I would never tell people not to follow through with this treatment because they might be an anecdote. And my surgery was only to save my life… it in no way would have impacted those around me, like those people who refuse to vaccinate put people with immunocompromised systems at serious risk.
So no, I have no sympathy for anti-vaxers. Their pseudoscience screams, “Hey, look at me; my unfounded fear is more important than the risks I can bring to a whole society.”
NOTHING in life is 100%. Well, except death and taxes, as the saying goes. But there is not a medical treatment or preventative on earth that is 100%. There’s not an education or a parent that is 100% perfect. There’s no way to drive a car or be a passenger in a car 100% risk-free. Heck, you can’t even sit in your own family room 100% risk-free—there was a car that crashed into a house in my neighborhood a few months ago!
Very sad that it’s getting to the point I seriously think Alfred E. Neuman, Elmer Fudd, Wile E. Coyote, or Daffy Duck would have made far better cabinet selections…

Some people have actually died BECAUSE of their seat belts, not in spite of them.
So parents should insist their kids not wear seat belts because, you know, anecdotes.
