Kelsey Berry and Tara Stewart haven’t let competition for the top academic rank at Bridgewater-Raynham Regional High School [in MA] get in the way of their friendship.

Berry, 17, of Raynham, finished the school year as valedictorian. Stewart, also 17, of Raynham, is salutatorian of the class. When asked if there was ever any competition between them, Stewart replied, “No, not at all.”

Both girls are members of the Sherry Gold Dance Team of Brockton and practice about 15 hours a week. “The same year I moved to Raynham in eighth grade, she joined the dance studio,” Stewart said. The two have been friends ever since.

I’m a pretty serious dancer," Berry said. “We do competitions both locally and nationally.”

Berry said she was a member of the U.S. World Show Dance Team that competed in Germany three years ago.

It’s very difficult to prove the quality of the undergraduate experience at a particular University. Suffice it to say that numbers aren’t everything - the U of Wisconsin at Madison is one of the best universities around - I dont’ think many would argue that you’ll get a better education there than at Swarthmore, even though Swat produces far less groundbreaking research than UWisc. I don’t think the Princetonians are arguing their University is better than Harvard’s, but that their undergrad is better.

Zephyr, I think you’ll find that I limit myself to the Princeton forum. I turned down Harvard, Yale (and Stanford, sorry!) in favor of Princeton for my undergraduate work, but went to Harvard for law school. Though I have some insight into the lives of undergraduates at Harvard since I interacted a bit with them while at HLS, I don’t pretend to be an expert on those other schools and therefore don’t feel it appropriate to comment on them on the other schools’ boards. I believe this makes me quite different from the other poster to whom you are referring. All the best.

I haven’t been on this site for ages
Not since I was accepted into Princeton back in May of 2005
I’m finished with my first year, and it turns out that Byerly is still haunting this site LMAO
