I realize it’s a few days early, but I just finished writing an article for the school paper regarding Valentine’s Day’s validity and effect on us and wanted to see CC’s thoughts on the holiday. Are you for or against the holiday, and why?
I’m indifferent about it. In theory it’s a pretty stupid idea - you should be romantic to your loved one every day, there doesn’t need to be a special occasion. But at the same time, it’s cute to watch people do stupid things ( for love 
), and see how it plays out – I am not one of those people who thinks, “Well I’m single, so Saturday is gonna suck,” I usually (and I did this year!) pick a girl who I’m friends with, but haven’t spoken to in a while, and randomly ask them to be my valentine, and then make them a really cute collage, lol
Hey man, I’m gonna be eating ice cream and watching anime regardless, so if it makes others happy, more power to you.
I’m in favor of Valentine’s Day because I hope to one day be celebrating it!

Against. I just feel it’s so commercialized and makes a big deal out of nothing. As a romantic, it’s like you have to be EXTRA romantic and why? No reason. Bleh
I’ve always liked Valentine’s Day. I’m sappy every day, but it’s nice to have the world endorse it.
For. I get an entire bag of candy, and don’t have to share it with anyone.
