<p>Well, I can remember hesitating to accept dates on Saturday nights, because I wanted to watch Saturday Night Live.</p>

Back in the 70s as a young teen I babysat a lot - I loved that Saturday night line up. I think after MTM there was Bob Newhart. I love Valerie Harper too…on MTM and Rhoda, too.</p>

<p>I remember curling up on the couch with my mom (in my early teens) and eating Entemann’s donuts. Saturday was food shopping day at my house and a box of those was a big treat.</p>
<p>myboby123 - show was called “Valerie” and then named the “Hogan Family” because Sandy Duncan came on as the aunt or something to watch the kids. I believe Justin Bateman was one of the kids on the show.</p>
<p>This news really was sad. Strange that the celebs they mention with illnesses or having passed are all ones I now identify as part of my “growing up” days. Scary watching time remind you of a generation that kids today have no connection of their own with.</p>
