<p>I am almost positive that I am going to apply ED to Duke. My dad wants me to go visit Duke this weekend for a school overnighter to make sure that I definitely want to do ED. The problem is that I won’t be able to visit and then submit the supplement in time to be eligible for an alumni interview. I have a few options. I can either send in the supplement in time and then go visit. If for some reason I absolutely hate Duke, which I don’t see any reason why I would, I could withdraw my ED application. Assuming I love it as much as I already do and apply ED, I’ll be eligible for an interview. My other option is to visit and then determine if I want to do ED. At this point, I won’t be eligible for an alumni interview. So basically, my question is what should I do? I would like to interview but if it really doesn’t matter, it is probably the safer bet to not send in the supplement before doing the overnighter.</p>
<p>i’d say wait and see what you think before you commit to ED. an admissions counselor told me that the interviews do not really factor into the final decision much. in other words it won’t make or break your application.</p>
