Value of AP Scores still unclear

As the title suggests, I’ve been hearing two sides of the argument in view of reporting AP scores and their effect on admissions. Let’s say I took many AP classes and did well in them but performed at a mediocre level on the AP tests. If I reported several bad AP scores, that would raise a GPA discrepancy question. If I didn’t report them, they’d be suspicious. Am I screwed either way?

No, not really.

Many admissions officers are moving away from test scores as an indicator of much.

Starting with ACT/SAT their belief is “how much can one test on Saturday morning @ 8 AM tell us about if this person will fit in to our community?”

same goes with AP scores.

If you want… email an elite school’s admissions office and ask.
