For my math for the ib program, I chose math studies. But now, I realize this was a bad decision and that I should have taken math sl (aka Ap AB Calc). Now I have to decide whether to study calculus myself and take the AB exam or take a college readiness test (easy) and take the class during the summer at a local state college. Does one have more value than the other on a college application?
Also, my ib coordinator said I couldn’t just take the Ap exam without being the class. I have yet to ask the actual test coordinator at my school, but can my school administration actually not let me take the Ap exam? Then again, my ib coordinator doesn’t know much about Ap testing.
