Vanderbilt Class of 2028 Official Thread

I also submitted my tax docs but idk if they even downloaded them

oh phew thanks

“The people super proud of their stats will post them and make others feel bad” is shaming and just not true. There is no intent to make others feel bad when simply posting stats on this forum, they are factually a very relevant part of college admissions, though certainly not cut and dry as we agree. I understand you were trying to be encouraging for everyone anxiously awaiting alongside your brother, but feel like that could be done without admonishing others for what is very much expected on these ‘class of’ threads. Moving on

Little off topic, but have seen it a few times. What does “unhooked” mean in this context? Sorry for the dumb question.

Not dumb at all. A hook means you have something, generally outside of your control, that makes you valuable to a college. This includes being first gen, a minority (at least before scotus decicion), or an athlete. So unhooked means you don’t have something like this.

Based on what I have heard on these forums, not fgli, overrepresented minority, non athlete, not legacy, aid seeking international (or is this a negative hook? I have heard both being used)

They way I use it (that is a broader definition than some people use) - just meaning no very specific attribute that might make college particularly more interested in you for one reason or another: recruited athlete, musician/instrument they need, unique academic interest or talent, geographic location that they get very few applicants from, first generation, big donor/legacy, etc

Your explanation is how I was understood your post as well. Thank you for the thoughtful words. :two_hearts:

Just noticed the withdrawal button is gone. No FA counselor and no withdrawal button, with Purdue, the missing withdrawal was a tell for rejections

Withdraw button has been gone for all for several weeks.

No, we had it yesterday or Monday because I was afraid I was going to hit it.

Mine has been gone for a long time.

Interesting, I thought it was gone for all. Probably a good sign for you if it was there yesterday.

Do you guys think it will actually be at 5:30, or do you think it will actually be at 5? I don’t think they have ever actually come out at 5:30 before.

The withdraw button is present on the dashboard on my laptop but not on my phone.

Weird. the withdraw button for me is not present on either.

same, i have no withdraw button

welp I’m cooked

So if I don’t have a financial aid officer then I didn’t get in?
