International students should submit their financial information to all colleges because they are need aware, meaning that financial situation is a factor in the evaluation of their applications. Financial document requests are particularly significant for international students, as their financial situations heavily influence the application process.
I was informed today that I am a semi-finalist for the curb scholarship. Although the email said that this does not mean I am being given admission to Vanderbilt, do you guys think that being a semi-finalist means there is a good chance I will be?

why Vanderbilt collects this financial information though. Some people mentioned that they only have CSS on their checklist. Iām not sure if Vanderbilt removes other things when decision day is approaching. Do all students have three items in their checklist like me?
If anyone knows how does Vanderbilt get things from our idoc?

for me itās just CSS profile, there are no other items on the checklist. And Im international here.
I have those three items in the checklist and they have been there since January.

Did you submit it they requested other items then in January? Just i wonder why do they request tax reports though they will use idoc after accepting.

Same here. Iāve had those items since I applied in December. I received an email to upload tax documents as soon as I applied.

D24 has no checklist under āFinancial Aidā. Under āFinancial Aidā tab, we only have āuploadā document option. And she has not received any emails asking to fill out CSS or FAFSA. She did indicate that she would not apply for financial aid in her application though. Domestic.

My D got the email and we uploaded the docs. It said because she checked financial aid she was getting the request but I donāt think she did. She did however apply for merit. I hope they really are need blind!
You are right . I also doubt this part because some institutions ask people docs but they donāt accept after that. So i also suspect it.
