My child is planning on going to Vanderbilt this fall - awesome school and great fit. Looking for any comments from current Vandy students or parents, in addition to the information we got on tour and from the Housing office, regarding the many great changes happening on campus:
There was a lot of construction, and this fall construction begins on a new residential community, which is apparently slated to go on until 2028. I wonder how this has affected or will affect students in terms of their experience, housing choices, and quality of life for the next few years. Any comments welcome! TIA
The construction situation isn’t likely to improve very much near term as in addition to the Branscomb Quad project you mentioned there are going to be ongoing upgrades to the athletic complex including a new baseball stadium and indoor practice football field. And, then there’s the Highland Quadrangle Residential College project that will be pretty significant.
The good news? The campus housing situation will be much improved although it may take a few years to complete.
