Vanderbilt ED vs Georgetown Restrictive Early Action.
If I apply to Vanderbilt ED, my chances increase dramatically. Georgetown EA, my chances do not increase. I can’t apply anywhere else ED.
I loved Vanderbilt, but it seems to me that name recognition is extremely important these days. Is Vanderbilt not as strong because it’s not in a very upbeat location?
I’m very interested in languages. I’m a very outgoing person and I like to have fun. I want a place where I can excell academically and still have a great time.
- I speak 4 fluently. (Arabic, French, Italian, and French.)
- I am currently taking 5 APs (my Senior year.)
- My GPA is a 3.5 unweighted. It is fairly low, but this is mostly due to my freshman year grades. From freshman year to junior year, i’ve had steady improvements.
- SAT Scores: 800 W, 670 CR, 760 M
- SAT Subject tests: 670 (Biology), 680 (Spanish), 640 (Physics)
What seems like a better fit, Georgetown EA or Vanderbilt ED?
If neither, what schools are of good rankings that are interested in taking Middle-Eastern/internationally cultured students.
