Vanderbilt ED2 Question

Has anyone gotten in ED2 that had a student already accepted ED1 from their school? I heard that ED2 could be used to get students from different areas/schools that wasn’t already filled with ED1 so just wondering

Well…when a student receives their ED1 acceptance, they are supposed to withdraw all other acceptances and pending applications.

So…why is this question even being asked?

And there is a clearinghouse that will note that you were accepted ED1…I believe.

@skieurope

If Vandy is where you want to apply ED2, you should do so. It’s highly likely Vandy does not have quotas/limits for your HS, or any HS.

@thumper1 I think OP’s concern is that a student from their HS may be accepted to Vandy in ED1, and wondering whether that impacts OP’s ED2 chances.

I interpreted the question as asking if vandy would accept a student ED2 if they already accepted a different student from the same HS ED1

I don’t know of any college that limits thr number of accepted students from a particular high school. All you can do is apply where you want, put your best foot forward, and see what happens.

I see that now! My mistake.

@NJ24 your student should apply ED2 regardless of any other students getting accepted ED1.
