When I pasted my essay into the commonapp supplement for vanderbilt, it didn’t notify a character limit or anything like that, all of the essay was in the box. Howeve, after I submitted the applictaion ( I know i should have checked) and looked at the PDF, a paragraph of the essay was cut off. So should I resend that essay, i called the regional admissions officer, he had a voice message saying from jan 4, he’ll be very busy reading applications and said to leave a message.

If you have already submitted it, then the train has already left the station. You are doing the right thing. In the meantime get your essay ready and in the envelope. Address it when you get someone to confirm that a) you can resend and b) the address you should send it to.

Incidentally, the same thing nearly happened to my son, be we caught it. The online instructions actually alert you to this possiblity and what steps you should take to prevent it.

Just remember they want you to apply, so they probably will not bust your knuckles over this.
