It’s so very sad. He was a 28 year old first year student at Owen, the VU graduate business school and a graduate of West Point.
A real tragedy. He sounded like such a wonderful young man. I could see an attacker going after an older woman ( like the tourist), but to aim for a young, healthy man?
One man was stabbed, and pulled out the knife and used it to stab the attacker, at least that it was I heard.

Very sad.
Horrible. This is the kind of thing we worry about when our kids want to go out into the world to broaden their horizons. For most, it works out, but sometimes the nightmare comes true. Feeling really sad for this young man and his loved ones.
The Tennessean has published a lovely profile of this young man. It is especially sad to know that he survived tours of duty in Iraq and Afghanistan only to lose his life in a senseless act of violence.
