Vanderbilt/ TCNJ/ USciences???

Hey everyone, so I have been accepted to Vanderbilt, TCNJ and USciences. I’m very sure I want to go into medicine, however, I am truly looking for the liberal arts feel of an undergrad institution. I’m not sure whether it is best to go to the prestigious school (vandy) and pay the full cost of tuition, go to a school mid priced with less of a liberal arts feel but more security (USciences has a 94% acceptance rate into med school), or have a truly liberal arts undergraduate in state experience (TCNJ). TCNJ is by far the cheapest, however, I’m not sure about its success rate into Med Schools and how great the undergraduate experience is. Is it worth the money to go to Vandy or USci?

were you accepted to the 7 year premed program at TCNJ? and TCNJ has a great rep in the med field.

TCNJ is a great value! There is a lot of competition to get into the Bio program because everyone knows it is a more inexpensive option to prepare you for med school. Save your money!

65% of TCNJ students who have applied to medical school have been accepted (national average approximately 44%)

US allopathic/MD medical schools accepted (125) out of (189) Vanderbilt University
first-time applicants.

Vanderbilt University Acceptance Rate 66%

USciences has a record of preparing successful medical students, such that, our students with a profile of 3.6 GPA and an MCAT of 30 are being accepted to medical school at a rate of 94%. Nationally, students with these same qualifications are getting accepted at a rate of 77%. Dental and veterinary school acceptance rates are also very high.

But with USciences it is saying if you have greater than 3.6 and 30 then you are ahave a 94% chance of getting in…what if you have below that?

No, unfortunately I didn’t get into the program- I did get into Rowan/Cooper Medical School, however and I’m also considering that!
