Which one of Vanderbilt, Cornell, and UVA is the hardest to get into (out-of-state for all three)?

Cornell; they might have a high acceptance rate for an Ivy but their applicant pool is tough competition.

Vandy and Cornell are roughly similar; both have acceptance rates in the low-to-mid teens with a bit of variation among different programs. UVA has a significantly higher overall acceptance rate than the other two but being out-of-state will hurt you.

You might not like this answer but it depends on the applicant and the university’s needs in that particular year. Any given applicant could be admitted to any combination of those three schools, and it’d be hard to predict which ones until April.
