@Ruby2727 - I wouldn’t keep any expectations anymore. My daughter was sending regular LOCI to her admissions counselor who told her yesterday that she doesn’t need to send those anymore and that her file has her marked interest. It means to me that the class is full now.
Or…being marked as “interest” isn’t enough for your daughter to be accepted. I’m not saying you’re wrong, but I’m sure they have a few thousand kids on their waitlist with most of them as being marked as “interest”. If they are still selecting, its likely a handful of people at most. There just isn’t any way to know for sure.
@Ruby2727 I have been following this thread. You seem like a great student and really good person. I trust the best things will happen for you. Wherever you end up I’m confident you will have great success. Best wishes.
Eerie silence. Has everyone here pretty much moved on? We (al)most certainly did. It’s only of academic interest at this point (add another acceptance to D’s list or end up with the one and only rejection) rather than a decision maker. Unless Vandy comes back with a (close to) full ride or something Good luck to whoever is still actually waiting to hear from Vandy before making a decision. Over and out.
My DD got an offer today. Now the real confusion begins! She has her heart and mind set on the school she said yes to but Vandy was her top choice! The family is now working on a decision as we have to let them know by tomorrow.
Congrats to your DD! It is hard to switch gears this late. My son switched gears back in late April, and that was tough enough, but middle of June…I can only imagine. OOC, what is the school she is currently committed to?
So she decided to go to Vandy! It was one of her dream schools, and she realized the next morning. Fortunately this year housing and course selection has been delayed so that benefits her situation.
