Vanderbilt Waitlist 2024

Thanks! You too!

I just got in this morning! I never sent any additional info so that was a surprise. With only 72 hours though I do not think I will accept so I hope someone else will be getting good news in the next few days.

So, my son got in, today, as well. However, I don’t see the Financial Aid information anywhere. Can somebody help me find where that might be listed? And if I can’t find it, does that mean that we didn’t get any?

I think you need to click yes that you want to receive an offer of admission and then it should show up on the portal with the acceptance letter.

Yeah, did that and I only see the acceptance letter. I assume that means there was no financial aid offer?

You have to click the accept offer and then go to the “Financial Aid” tab in order to view the estimated cost. I was accepted into the School of Engineering today!

My estimated direct cost is about $73,422, which is much higher than I thought (I sadly got not aid). I’m not sure If I’ll choose to enroll. Anyone else have a high direct cost?

Wait - you have to accept the ‘offer of admissions’ or the ‘request the offer of admissions’? We chose to get the offer, and now we have the option to accept the offer, but we don’t want to accept the offer without knowing the financial aid package. I don’t see a link for the estimated direct costs anywhere.

This process is a bit more confusing than all the other schools that my son got into.

My daughter was offered a spot today. She will not be accepting it. Congrats to all!

Sorry, I mis-spoke. You are correct, you just have to see the offer of admissions to see the financial aid offer. My financial offer was then shown under the “Financial Aid” tab.

My daughter was accepted today as well and we are still trying to figure out the financial aid offer if there is any.

Same. My son’s financial aid page now has all of the IDOC information as “Waived” as of today, which used to have a received date from back in October or November. Not sure what is going on. We reached out to admissions officer to get details. At this point, it’d need to be a decent package for my son to bail on his current school.

@6326787532 Wow, Vanderbilt is a hard school to turn down. Where will you be attending?

@HokieCrazy Vanderbilt is known for giving good financial aid. Is it possible to negotiate for a little bit more?

@14Maddox I see from your other posts that she is going to Notre Dame. What is it about ND that makes her prefer it to Vanderbilt?

I also got into Vanderbilt Engineering today. I wont be accepting.

Maybe if I could see whether he got some or not to begin with. That’d be a big help. It’d have to be a pretty good one to change gears at this point. I mean he has orientation and room selection for his current school this weekend.

Congrats, Jake! Where are you headed?

@HokieCrazy I’ll be going to Stanford

It would be sad to see the lunchpail avatar go @HokieCrazy! Congratulations on the waitlist and good luck with the decision!

My avatar would never change. I’ll be a Hokie till I die!

This is a little strange. But I am guessing that if you can get the admissions officer on the phone you can probably get a complete answer. Hopefully they gave your son a good aid package. I realize that he is probably getting excited for VT, but Vandy is a great school, and the students are known for being really happy there.

Hi guys, I am not sure if here is the right place to ask, but I was admitted off the WL recently and currently looking at courses for this fall, and pretty much everything is full. What is the protocol for registering for courses for students who are admitted late?
