This is the first year for the Opportunity Vanderbilt, which I would assume increases their yield quite a bit. Vanderbilt has used the narrative of filling their incoming class with 10% from the waitlist for so long that they probably didn’t have plans in place to waitlist less than usual but it will be interesting to see their CDS next year to know how much less they need to rely on waitlisting going forward.
They should stop asking these kids if they are still interested if there is no space. It is heart breaking over and over again.

Maybe I was not explicit. The email is not the same as all the previous emails. Once she confirmed that she would like to get the offer, the offer was extended immediately on the portal. I just want to clarify. She already accepted it and she is thrilled.

Does anyone know if it is over? I know it is late and only 3 weeks til move in for her confirmed school but my D is so not happy about it.
