<p>The Vanguard Minority Scholarship Program provides merit-based scholarships of up to $10,000 to students entering their junior or senior year of college during the 2012 school year. The program’s goal is to remove financial barriers for minority students who demonstrate academic excellence and leadership potential. Students must be pursuing studies in business, finance, economics, or accounting. Scholarship checks can be used for tuition, fees, books and supplies.</p>

<p>Applicants of the Vanguard Minority Scholarship Program must:
•Be a member of a racial or ethnic minority.
•Be entering their junior or senior year of college in the fall of 2012.
•Be currently enrolled full-time in a four-year accredited college or university in the United States and remain enrolled for the entire 2012-2013 academic year.
•Be pursuing studies in business, finance, economics or accounting.
•Have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
•Be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident of the United States.</p>

<p>If selected as a recipient, the student will receive an award up to $10,000. Up to ten awards will be granted each year. Awards will not exceed the total costs of tuition, fees, books, and supplies. Awards are not renewable, however students may reapply to the program each year eligibility requirements are met. Awards are for undergraduate study only.</p>
