Vassar or Holy Cross

<p>Both schools are top Liberal Arts Colleges and I was wondering what school I should apply to ED. I’m interested in the whole college experience. I have interviewed with Holy Cross, but not Vassar. I live in New Zealand and won’t be able to visit Vassar until after I apply.</p>

<p>I am interested in English or Film as I want to be a sitcom writer</p>

<p>Staff
Academics
Location
Dorms
Campus lifestyle eg parties, food, how students treat each other</p>

<p>Note: please don’t tell me if I’ll get in or not just give me your opinion on both colleges. Cheers…</p>

<p>Holy Cross has division 1 sports with great football and basketball teams. For that alone I would pick HC over Vassar which has no real sports.</p>

<p>Vassar is considered to be the more prestigious college and I believe it is harder to get into. Unlike CHC it is not religious-affiliated. Vassar I believe has this artsy and very liberal, open feel to it.</p>

That might be a significant data point for you in this decision.</p>

<p>Yes, I am Catholic, but it being a Catholic college or not doesn’t really affect me.</p>

<p>Holy Cross is just like any other catholic school in the northeast. Reglisously affiliated but you don’t feel like you are at a “catholic” school, per se. The Jesuit schools are significantly focused on providing an atmosphere of learning rather than an atmosphere of religion. You’ll feel the catholic presence at Notre Dame, but you won’t get that feeling at HC or BC or Georgetown.</p>
