Hi, guys, need your ideas. Virginia Commonwealth University or Rochester Institute of Techology for arts and animation. Please!

RIT is very good for arts and animation. I think better than VCU. At RIT, students win national awards for their work. Very different environments at VCU and RIT. Have you visited?

Can anyone provide more information on VCU and RIT?

VCU is huge…very big enrollment, but great arts and medical school reputations. Very urban campus that you either love or hate. Students need to be very cautious about their surroundings. Downtown Richmond has a reputation for being a place where you’d better know where you are, one wrong turn and you could end up in a very dicey place.

Haven’t heard much about VCU’s animation program standing out. Sculpture, graphic design, painting, they are some of the more talked about programs. I would say RIT gets the nod in that particular area. Good luck!
