It’s not the same situation but my daughter has Celiacs. If you’re going to be visiting campus (or even at orientation) contact the dietician. She’s wonderul and will take you around and can really tell you how/where to best handle special dietary needs. Or even just call her, I’m sure she’d be helpful.
Also it’s been my daughters’ experience that the chefs are very willing to work with you. Most of them have given her their cell phone numbers and she often calls with “I’m going to be there in 15 minutes, can you make X for me.”
