im on my schools business advisory board, and debate team, and trial club. I also believe my college essay was pretty good or at least above average (as told by my guidance counselor).

Scratch Baruch, UConn and possibly Fordham and James Madison off the list… You stand a good chance at Bryant, though. Very good business program… solid choice if you’ve got the money… what state are you from?

im from NY. I’m also hoping that my essay and mid year grades are considered , my counselor said my essay was probably one of the best hes ever read

Unless you have something that JMU wants (ie sports, music, band) they are pretty much a “gpa driven” school. Years ago, you could get into JMU if you had a pulse. Now, not so much…at ALL. JMU has become extremely competitive. I have never met anyone from JMU who doesn’t absolutely love it there. It’s a great school.

I honestly feel that your GPA is too low. I believe that you will get either waitlisted or rejected.

Having ADD and achieving what you have is quite an accomplishment. Your SAT scores are decent, so anything can happen. Make sure that you have a few safety schools on your list that you would actually go to. Don’t forget that you can easily transfer into any other school after a successful fresh year. I have a feeling that this is just the beginning for you. You certainly are on your way to achieving your goals. Your determination will make up for the ADD as well as the lower gpa. Best of luck. Believe in yourself.

Scratch UCONN Fordham and Bryant, maybe JMU and definitely Roger Williams. It’s a great campus with a quickly developing prestige. It may never like Brown PC or Bryant in RI but it’s still a solid school

soxfan1 - there you go again. You are implying that Bryant is very competitve to get into, which it is not. I don’t know why you have this blind love affair with Bryant. Bryant is more in the same league as Roger Williams - a mediocre school at best (“prestige” - are you kidding?). Bryant is not in the same league as UConn, Fordham, and JMU.
