Very poor SAT scores & Reach schools

With SAT scores of 1600~ on the new SATs, how likely is that I will be accepted to schools like BU/NYU/Tufts?
Regardless of whether I am a minority or not, my chances are obviously very low, or slim to none but I would like to hear some feedbacks from people who might have more experience about admissions than I do.
Any and all thoughts are appreciated.
Thanks.

Couldn’t you retake?

RETAKE IN NOVEMBER, DECEMBER, AND JANUARY if they’ll still accept late scores. As for the november date, it’s not so late, you could always get away with a standby spot.

December- study like mad if necessary, do whatever it takes to raise your scores

1600? Good luck and good night

Do you have something really special working for you?

Study and retake or you can basically kiss your chances goodbye. Not to be mean, I just think it’d be 100% worth a shot to retake.

Yeah, b/c you can’t get much worse than a 1600. You only get better neway

I’d retake. Also be advised that Tufts is quite a bit harder to get into than BU or NYU (unless you’re also trying to get into the honors programs at the latter two, which are as hard or harder)

Definitely retake and get higher unless there’s some legitimate explanation for the score that’s out of your control.

or you can look into some of the excellent schools that are SAT optional, such as bowdoin, bates, connecticut college, hamilton, etc.
