I have really strong EC’s, Letters of rec, and essay.
ACT: 33
English:34
Math:29
Reading:35
Science:35
(Ps: if i had gotten one point higher in any of the sections my composite would be a 34)
I am taking it again in the fall because cocky me thought i didn’t have to study for math.
I plan on getting 34+
Gpa is 3.5/4.5 unweighted
What are my chances with schools like
U Michigan
UCLA
USC
Also do i have a chance with the ivys since my ACT’s are so good?
what are your individual grades? colleges don’t really care about GPA as much as they care about your individual grades in your core subjects.
I have really good core grades. My school requires two years of latin, 4 years of religion, etc… These are the grades that bring my GPA down. Just core classes (Math, Science, English, History) I have aprox 3.7/3.8 UW. (school does not weight or class rank)
colleges won’t give 2 shits about your religion grade lol. latin (LOTE) will count in their minds though
My intended major is finance. Does latin still matter. Also i have one C+ in spanish from freshman year but I am currently in honors with a consistent B+. Does this affect anything?
UCLA will probably let you slide if you actually do get a 34, Michigan will too if their in a good mood. USC is pretty sporadic, but with a good essay and an obvious upward trend they are a good match as well. But that score really is pivotal.
If you are instate for California, you might have more of a chance now, that funding has increased for residents.
