The master lies in Monday and Tuesday, and tells the truth in the rest of the week.
The apprentice lies in Wednesday,Thursday,Friday ,and Saturday ,and tells the truth in rest of the week.
THe master said ‘‘I lied yesterday’’
The apprentice said ‘‘I also lied yesterday’’

In which day of the week does the conversation take place ?

is it C because the master really lied on tuesday (while talking on wednesday) but the apprentice lies on wednesday and thus he didn’t really lie 'yesterday(tuesday)? In other words, the apprentice lied about lying on tuesday/yesterday?

it’s C. the master has to say what he did on Monday or Wednesday because on Monday it’s false but he’s lying, on Wednesday it’s true and he’s telling the truth. For no other days would it work because it’s true on Tuesday that he lied but he must tell lies then, and on the other truth-telling days he didn’t lie the day before so he can’t truly say he did.

The same reasoning holds for the apprentice, who has to say what he did on Wednesday or Sunday. If they both said they lied yesterday, then it’s Wednesday.
