Veteran's Day

Thinking of you on Veteran’s Day @busdriver11 . . . thank you ^:)^

Well, thank you saintfan, that’s very nice. I wish I had it off, but oddly enough, everybody I saw at work today was a veteran! Thanks to every veteran out there, and everyone who is a family member of a veteran. I think often it is harder to be the one left at home.

My husband and I did our annual meal at Applebee’s. It was a pretty long wait so I got to do a LOT of people watching. I love seeing the diversity of the crowd on this day–age, color, economic status–all are brothers for a few hours. My H is a retired Marine so we look for other Marines; most wear hats or shirts or jackets to show their branch. Having come of age during the Vietnam era, it is wonderful to see the appreciation shown to our vets.

Thank you, veterans!

I started this thread yesterday intending it to convey awareness of veterans, but perhaps not many knew who Tomas Young was.
