@Luckyjade2024 villanova is #1 in the country for community service hours per student and holds the biggest special olympics event in the world. while it takes great test scores to get in, they have a special emphasis on community service compared to other highly ranked schools because they want to keep up their recognition for these things.
@Username8519 I was accepted as a biology major too!! congrats! although I do not think I can afford it unfortunately…
I have hundreds hours of service …coming from an extremely service oriented catholic high school AND one of my service missions was working with special ed children for two years, which is part of the reason why I was surprised.
@lifeguard77 also, party of my essay was about special ed volunteering and tied that in with the Nova special olympics.
It’s ok, they didn’t have my major anyway, but it was the first school that I ever visited and loved it as a freshman. …rooted for their BB team ever since…more applied out of nostalgia.
@Luckyjade2024 yeah don’t sweat it, it’s all a random process anyways with so many qualified applicants like you applying. it is a very expensive school anyways.
Thanks…my big let down was Cornell…I was offered the Transfer Option to attend in Soph Year.
@astronomy11 did you hear about your waitlist status?
