I just got into the honors program!!! Anybody else???
And does this help at all for the Presidential or Villanova scholarship???
Does the honors program notification come in the mail with the official blue Villanova folder? If you didn’t get in to the honors program do they officially notify you or is there no word of it in the acceptance mail? I’m very eager to know. Thanks
It was not in the blue folder with the acceptance notification. It was a separate piece of mail that came today. As for merit scholarships, those are separate from the honors program … though the Nova website indicates that “Many students accepted to the Honors Program are also selected as Villanova Scholars.”
I got my acceptance letter on Saturday and my honors program letter yesterday! I’m so excited. Also I was checking the scholarship info page, and I don’t think we will get notified until January or Feb for merit aid.
Does anyone know if you can only get one scholarship for villanova or multiple? Like, hypothetically speaking, what if someone were to be awarded a Presidential Scholarship and the Villanova Scholarship? I’m just not sure how that works.
@dac2016 Nova will award only one scholarship and not two, however, if you have a scholarship from another source then you can have multiple but in no case will it exceed the money the school charges you

DD did. Waiting to hear if she made the interview round.
DD did also. Fingers crossed but I don’t hold out hope. So many applied but I really hope she gets chosen to go for the interview round.
I also applied for the Presidential, don’t have high hopes though.
This is DD top choice but not affordable for us unless she gets grants and scholarships. We know Presidential is a long shot but I’m proud of her for throwing her ring in the hat. Does anyone know if they have notified all Honors College applicants?
My DD received mail today so I am waiting for her to get home!
My DD got an nice invitation from Villanova today inviting us to Feb admitted students day. She said on a FB page for accepted students someone asked when scholarship winners would be notified. A student responded that scholarships went out today and Pres. scholarships finalists will be notified end of Jan. Don’t know if the info is accurate since it was not Nova that posted the answer.
She received two letters today. One for the honors college that talked about regular decision and that it won’t be released until the end of March but that she would be receiving good news. The second looks to be the Viilanova Scholarship interview information for later this month. Also says Presidential Scholarship won’t be released until end of this month.
@Hope2achieve Thanks for the update. Congrats to your daughter ! So if I am understanding this correctly she applied RD and for Honors college? Not sure about interview for Jan. Is this to prep for a finalist interview for Presidential scholarship?
