So, im a bit bummed out. I got into their college of arts and sciences (2100 sat and 4.3/5 gpa), but I had initially applied to the bs/md program. I’m not that disappointed that I didn’t get into that program, but then I get an email from Villanova, saying I need to submit the supplement for the program, and I got hopeful! Then 10 mins later, I get another email saying the previous email was sent to me by accident
oh well
Congrats to all who got accepted!!!
Last 24 hours have been brutal. 3 deferrals.

I’m thrilled-- Villanova is my #1. I doubt with my low GPA I’ll get any sort of merit or honors college but we will see.
@pkchamp89 I saw your posts about your son getting deferred by BC and Northeastern. I’d tell him not to worry–Northeastern pulled a very selfish move this year and accepted a small amount of students. They deferred every single person from my class, even ones who probably qualified for their honors college. BC’s Early Action has always been rough-- they accept very little.
In terms of Villanova, did he apply to the business school? That was probably why he was deferred. It’s very very selective. He has good grades/good ECs/ good scores, so I would tell him not to worry. Just get him to send in a letter to admissions explaining why he wants to go there!
When do we hear about getting into the honors program and scholarships??
What do you think my chances are for regular admission? I got deferred from EA.
90.25 GPA/100

Congrats to all of you that have been accepted. Villanova is a wonderful school. Sadly this is the second time my son was deferred this week. Applied ME School of Engineering 1380/1600 SAT, 4.32 weighted GPA loads of honors classes and 3 AP classes senior year. Fingers crossed for a RD acceptance.
I noticed that many people are posting their SAT scores on the 2400 scale. I believe that Villanova only considers the math and reading scores for the SAT. Anyone else agree with me about this?
@Asil65 yeah on my visit I do feel like they referred mainly to math and reading, and they base their honors program on the 1600 scale (I think that average is a 1420). No real need for that writing score, I think people are just used to doing a super score and including that part.
Accepted! College of Arts and Sciences intended major Math
SAT 2110
GPA 97.6
@nccollegeboy thanks for the feedback. He did apply to VSB and he new it was going to be tough. Math grades are key for VSB at least that is what the admission counselor mentioned. Took all honors and AP math and 740 on SAT math section… so confused
My son just got deferred to RD for VSB. What percentage of EA’s that get moved to RD get accepted? Does anyone get a flat out denial on EA to VSB?
Villanova does not deny. Everyone not accepted through EA is deferred to RD. according to the deferral letter on the mynova portal it stated that Villanova obtains he majority of its students through the RD
Oops to clarify… Don’t deny in the EA process.
DEFERRED
Do you guys think I could still get in RD?
