Interesting … I know BC released ED I yesterday.

If anyone could give me their opinion on my chances that would be great. I know it’s a reach for me. Just starting to stress with impending decisions! Thanks!

  • Early Decision 1
  • History intended major
  • 3.96 Weighted GPA (definitely my weak point)
  • Very close to the strongest possible rigor available
  • Only honors classes freshman and sophomore year
  • 2 IB HL classes, 3 IB SL classes and 1 honors class junior year
  • 2 IB HL classes and 4 IB SL classes senior year
  • Strong upward trend in grades (freshman and sophomore years were a bit of a struggle. Mix of As and Bs with ONE C+ in Honors algebra 2. Junior year I had all A’s and two B+’s for both semesters)
  • I had my counselor email my Q1 grades for senior year (All As and one B+) but we never heard back and they never requested that we upload them to the portal so I’m not sure if they saw it
  • 34 ACT - Submitted
  • Good ECs (captain of the varsity sailing team and lots of community service)
  • Great LORs and Essays
  • White male

Catholic private school in Ohio. To my knowledge I am the only ED candidate from my school.

Forgot to mention my unweighted GPA is a 3.5. Does that change your mind at all?

Im pulling for you! Your ACT is definitely in range with good rigor and ECs. As you correctly noted your GPA is lower than what they typically accept. My D24 is in the same boat. TBH even with ED bump I feel like she’s 50/50 at best…but hoping for the best. Good luck-won’t be long now!

Right now the office is saying the 15th but apparently they are pretty much finish with ed committee

Just announced on instagram “ Early Decision I Applicants: Decisions will be posted to your Applicant Status Page this Friday (Dec. 15) evening.”

Where did you see that on IG? I didn’t see any new admissions post on Villanova’s main grid or stories.
