I have a 1540 SAT, 109 TOEFL, 4.27 unweighted and 3.99-4.0 weighted GPA, 8 AP classes in a small private Christian school, and a tons of leadership roles and extracurricular activities inside and outside of school. I applied for about 48k financial aid as a Chinese international student so I think that was the main reason I was waitlisted. I submitted application before November 1 so I had fair but not best essays. After getting waitlisted, I sent to them a letter of continued interest, an updated resume and two new essays.
That’s amazing! I have 31 ACT, 8 AP’s, 4.35 weighted, 3 varsity sports for four years with being a captain of one, lots of leadership and extracurriculars, Catholic School. I’ve also visited 5 times at Nova and have toured 3 times. I’ve been in constant contact with my local admissions counselor for a year and have updated the office with letters and grades. I applied for a lot of aid as well. I pray every day I get in because my brother goes there and feel like it’s home. I just want to go so bad, please pray for me ?

Those who were called from the waitlist, what date to you have to respond by? Has anybody heard anything since May 1st? Wondering if they’re done with their first round of calls and waiting for responses.

My son was left a VM from Villanova admissions on Friday evening. He never checked his VM and they followed up with an email early Monday asking his intentions. He had already committed to another school over the weekend and he called and told them. My guess is there will be a lot of activity on the WL this week.

I dont think there has been much movement so far. This is really worrying-- I thought that Villanova’s waitlist would be used more this year.

Im a business major myself- from what it seems like on may 1 people got notified on wave 1-- im guessing there will be a small wave 2 this week-- but no movement is concerning

I just got off the waitlist and I have until May 8th to commit! They unfortunately don’t give you a lot of time and the deposit is quite a lot of money compared to other private schools.
When did they contact you- earlier in the day or at night?
If if your comfortable- what major and what we’re your stats?
How much is the deposit and are you going to commit? Is it to much that your going to consider another uni?
My brother is at nova, and from what I have heard, the majority of kids get off the waitlist from May 1st to May 10th; some who were waitlisted and got in have told me May 1st, others May 5th… there is a small sprinkle that get in from then until June 30th, so let’s all hope
