Villanova & widener university

Hello Guys
I am actually taking classes at Montgomery county community college. I am interested to transfer to widener university or Villanova university to continue my education in Chemical engineering. can someone tell me which one is good for me?

Is this a financial aid question?

Even if it is…not enough information to tell you which school is good for you…for any reason.

What are your stats? Villanova is a top 50 national university. Widener is a midtier regional university. If you got into both, you should receive a better financial package from Widener.

As a transfer student…i am not sure financial aid will be better…or,even good…at either school.

Can your parents afford to pay for, these colleges?

If you are going to Montgomery County CC…are you a MD resident? What ismthe matter with a public university in MD?

Please talk to the transfer advisor at your community college. You want a four year school that will take your CC credits…and is affordable. The transfer advisor at the CC should be able to,help.

OP means Montgomery County, PA. I am not familiar with Widener except that it is not anywhere near Villanova in terms of basically everything! Plus, is difficult to get into. My daughter got in and their FA was not even the average offered and we needed it. Plus it gets worse in subsequent years. They do not have enough room to house everyone as it is thus transfer housing is not guaranteed. Montco. has a guaranteed transfer agreement with Bucknell. If you do not mind an isolated, party school, and you have the grades, it might be a good option for OP.

Agree on Bucknell. Worth a try if the deadline hasn’t passed.
Costs are going to be an issue. Transfers get lousy aid. Only flagships for your major and they cost 32k/year instate.
So, what’s your budget?
What about GPA?

Also, Villanova does not even begin considering applications until June 15th because they want to wait until you have your spring semester grades. Whereas most other schools want you to decide by May 1st or June 1st.

This is Bucknell’s link if anyone’s interested
