All sexual harassment is noxious. For the life of me I cannot understand why a fool (co-worker or customer) would abuse, attack or annoy someone who prepares or serves the meal. And victims certainly have very sharp knives and cast iron skillets at their disposal to point out the error of the assailant’s ways.

It’s the regular—abuse, control and power over someone else. Sad but not really anything new. The brave folks are deciding to speak out (and face consequences, I’m sure).
The restaurant industry is known for having female unfriendly environments, unfortunately.
I’m female. I grew up in the hospitality industry. I quit (finally) when I was 35. Don’t ask. I’ve seen and experienced it all. Not a “hospitable” space at all. This is a tip of the ice berg.
