<p>So they have this 25/mo everything plan and it looks enticing. Anyone with Virgin Mobile have any complaints? Or are there any other good cell phone plans out there? I’m coming to the end of my sprint contract in a few months. Atm I’m thinking either the 69.99/mo everything plan w/ HTC Evo xD or saving a few bucks and going Virgin Mobile.</p>
<p>I use Straight Talk – I’ve got an LG 220c (not the nicest phone, but it does what it’s supposed to) with 1000 text messages, 1000 minutes, and 30mb data for 29.99USD/month. I originally had Virgin Mobile, but I couldn’t get a signal at all in my dorm. So I switched to Straight Talk – it’s cheaper and has better plans.</p>
<p>And honestly, I was in Best Buy on Saturday looking at that exact same phone and plan (the HTC evo), but ultimately, I decided it was best to stick with what I have. The phone bill is less than half of what Verizon would charge, and that’s more money I can save for the future. That was my reasoning, at least.</p>

<p>All the more reason to stick with Virgin Mobile or go to Straight Talk. I have credit, but only because some guy thought it would be a great idea to steal my social security number when I was an infant … :(</p>
<p>My son has Virgin and the only complaint is at our house. Seems we are in a triangle and sometimes calls go direct to voicemail… He says coverage is great in cities, less so the more rural you get… He uses the unlimited texting and very little actual call minutes.</p>
<p>I had horrible service with virgin. I wouldn’t get texts until a day later. The customer service was horrendous. I bought a phone, it had a disabled serial number. I got a second, the screen was broken. The third finally worked. It’s cheap, but you get what you pay for.</p>
<p>Virgin Mobile is actually owned by Sprint and actually utilizes their network, so there shouldn’t be any change in coverage for you.</p>
<p>The phones that come along with Virgin Mobile’s $25 plan are not nearly as “smart” as modern smart phones. If you are expecting the performance of an Evo, you will be disappointed.</p>
<p>I have the Rumor Touch and it does what I paid for: make calls, text and retrieve emails. Writing emails and surfing the web is possible but a pain in the bud. What’s really annoying me is that I cannot open email attachments. The document viewer and media player will only open files saved on the SD card, and it is not possible to download files to the SD card on the phone itself. (I assume that’s to keep the data usage low.) All Virgin Mobile phones are locked and won’t let you install third-party apps.</p>
<p>My interactions with Customer Service have been pleasant though.</p>
<p>i got virgin mobile a week ago. I have pretty good coverage. The phones are pretty good. Except my phone broke 3 days after i got it. Their sending me a new 1 for free. Customer service was nice. It really cheap too. I mean 25 bucks a month. And really 1000 texts isnt that many and i dont talk over 300 minutes a month. I mean 30 texts a day i go way over that. otherwise i would probably go with straight talk so i can talk to my mom on my cell instead of my home phone.</p>
<p>virgin uses sprint network. coverage should stay the same where you are.</p>
