Virginia Tech and UVA Chances

Hey guys

I’m becoming increasingly antsy as college decisions roll in, and I was wondering if anyone had any ideas of potential chances for me for Virginia Tech early action and UVA regular decision. Both are in-state for me and I’m applying to engineering in both schools.

Weighted GPA: 3.74, upward trend. 3.64 first two years of high school, 4.25 junior year, and 4.6 first semester of senior year.

  • 11 AP classes
  • Extremely rigorous magnet school
  • Rank: 212/501
    SAT: 1540: 790 math, 750 reading
    SAT II: 770 math

Extracurriculars:
Internship at US army research lab, published. paper.
2 Internships at local software company.
Co-developed a mobile app on the app store.
Coded and developed a website from scratch.
Co-founded a nonprofit organization, current treasurer and consultant for the organization.
Varsity debate, competed in metro finals.
Treasurer of school’s National honor society.

do you attend TJ/Mclean/Langley? if so, some pretty average people have gotten into UVA from there. You’re definitely fine.

Nah I don’t go to TJ but it’s a different magnet school in Loudoun that’s more or less equivalent

I just logged into this site, and of course the number 6 post is from a fellow NOVA kid. I’d say you have a really strong application. Certainly makes me feel like I need to catch up!
