What are my chances at VT? Does Tech EVER consider well-rounded solidly “good” students? Is there room at good state universities anymore for solid B students? I had some personal challenges in high school – a death in the family, and some surgery of my own. I wrote a letter to the admissions staff explaining the circumstances. Does this ever help? Do they read or take such letters into account when making a decision?
