Big day tomorrow, good luck everyone! This is my daughter’s #1!!! Fingers crossed!
Great news! Clearly the person in admissions who said no decisions until late February was either intentionally being misleading, or was kept in the dark.
I think everyone does that, just in case something goes wrong. For another school we applied to, someone called the admissions office the morning off a huge release last week, and was told that it was going to be the 1/31 date posted on the website, a few hours later all the EA’s were notified…
Great news for everyone, good luck!!!
Can someone please verify? Do not have access to X, unfortunately.
I saw it on X too. Verified.
Thank you so much! Big day tomorrow. Good luck
everyone!
What’s even funnier is that the article Tech posted earlier today also said:
“Admission decisions for those who applied for early action will be announced by late February.”
Smoke and mirrors diversion tactics…
Seems legit that decision day is tomorrow. I just found it odd that the message was only posted by Juan Espinoza and visible only to those who follow him. Nothing from VT admissions on Instagram, Twitter, FB etc. But, then again, odd is the operative word for this admissions cycle. Good luck to all!
It was stated previously that if decisions were coming, he would be the one to post a day out. Thats why I started following him.
Got it. Didn’t realize that. Glad you and others did, because now we know. Thx
Best of luck to everyone tomorrow. This Hokie alum is sweating bullets!!
Hoping for good news tomorrow
Good Luck everybody!!
Daughter was accepted in Dec. I feel for all you that were left dangling in the breeze… VT and Blacksburg are great places- Hokie alum here. VT is in my daughter’s top 3 with Clemson and Georgia; she’s currently stressing way too much about which one to choose.
It’s what he did last year, too. It’s a strange pattern, for sure, but he seems to like it that way.
any portal astrology at Virginia Tech?
Wondering the same thing lol.
I’ll start: my son has the information on College of Engineering on his portal (his preferred major) which wasn’t there before and “cancel/withdraw application” button is not there. I am pretty sure it was there before.
We have Pamplin College of Business featured but i think that was always there. I dont see the cancel/withdraw app button. Where was that earlier? on the bottom of the page near account manager?
Haha, I think the December release was such a surprise, that people weren’t locked in on tracking stuff…
I dont ever recall that button existing on the Tech page. I remember it from some other schools but not Tech. The portal is fairly minimal compared to others.
