OMG - total heart attack. We saw that message last month when logging in but not since then.
yes I have seen that come up when logging in from a different computer or phone in the last couple of weeks. But I cannot get it to repeat as I have no new devices to login from and I do not remember if it was an @vt.edu address on there. Everywhere else in the portal is my gmail address I applied with and it is making me nervous…
same. we can access the scheduling tab but its for Spring 2025 and says not authorized.

is it your original application email address you see all over? I can log into some tabs and others, no. But all list my gmail address.

We will see how this plays out since my daughter who is OOS and in honors colleges elsewhere, according to the data for her major the acceptance rate for out of state was 82% for her major. I never knew this. Let’s hope they don’t have an anomaly this year.

What is the URL name for your applicant portals? I am sure this is just the name of the admissions portal and I never noticed it before, but now I am super curious after the request to release data
Ours says the same…and I never looked at it before. But I don’t think it’s a tell.

Their IG says they are approaching 58k applications for Fall. Good grief.

I’ve seen lots of schools say they are wanting to increase their class size over the next few years because of the continued uptick in applications.

I don’t think Virginia Tech is one of those. This past year was one of their largest classes, and kids have been stuffed into makeshift lounge/study rooms with 3 or 4 kids in most of the dorms. In my kid’s dorm, there’s no real lounge or study room in the building, outside of his room and the kitchen. Also following the FB groups, some kids were accepted as Spring Freshman transfers, but did not get on campus housing…

My daughter. had this today which was weirdly listed under her name on the verify information page, but not something she could change (gray box). She applied RD OOS.
I heard there were over 60K applicants at UVA, this is going to be a tough year to get into colleges for sure

And with VT saying they are getting close to 58k, that’s 5k more than last year. Where are all these kiddos coming from? Hahaha!
