Virginia Tech, JMU, Albany, Binghamton, or Mcgill?

These are my top 5 schools, which one should I pick and why?

Depends on your interests and your residency. I’d pick VT if I were in-state, finances were a big consideration, and I was inclined towards a non-humanities major. I’d pick McGill otherwise. It is a great university, still a comparative bargain for Americans, and Montreal is a very cool, very international-feeling city. Binghamton is the in-state pick for NYers.

You would need to compare the actual COA between your in-state pick, if any, and McGill to make a rational decision.

Think McGill is the top in terms of this list, but I don’t know your intended major or what state. Virginia Tech is a fantastic option and have known lots of enthusiastic alum. Same with JMU, but stronger in business of course. I don’t know anything about the NY schools, sorry can’t help you there. If you are in-state VA, I would say VT.

Im from ny and intend to major in political science, social life is very important to me
