Has anyone heard that sometimes college coaches(ivy) visit your club to watch you practice(no talking)? If so, how do you interpret?

Yes. They do. I think it means they are very interested in the swimmer.

However, they tend to be the schools from within driving distance, except for Bolles. I know some schools do come down to Jacksonville to see their swimmers.

I would caution too much interpretation of this in an overall scheme. One DI top 10 team head coach told us he prefers to see swimmers on his campus than having a coach going to see the swimmers because the swimmers need to picture themselves in their program. You would think they have enough money to fly all over the country. My point is - this really depends on the recruitment approach of the coach. The one who came might be interested in your swimmer, but the ones who didn’t might still be interested as well. Oh and you should be able to learn more about their interest by talking to your club coach. The visiting coach would typically express his/her interest and ask questions about a particular swimmer with the club coach. Our experience is that the visiting coaches typically email or call the club coach first to ask if he/she can come to watch xxx swim and introduce himself/herself to the prospect.

Just a clarification - the self introduction is very brief and general (hi, this is my card).
