<p>I’m going up to NYC for the first time with my parents next week. I guess we’re just going to go on each campus and see what we can do other than seeing what they are actually like. I’m a transfer applicant so they don’t do interviews…any suggestions?</p>
<p>You can still do standard admissons process things, i.e. join a tour, as a transfer…</p>

<p>NYU doesn’t do interviews period…but you should call the admissions office directly because the online registration is mostly for freshman admissions visits. Columbia doesn’t have scheduled tours.</p>
<p>Why are you transferring? Think of every reason that you do want to transfer and every reason that you don’t,and ask about it. Go to the bookstore and the cafeteria and ask people what they do and don’t like about it… walk around the area and see how it feels</p>
