I’m just wondering if there was a statistic with people when they were visiting schools. Did you usually end up prefering the first school you visited or did it not matter? Jw.

Of the 6 schools my daughter visited, she liked the first one least and is actually not even going to finish the application process there.

It has been said in these posts that you shoudl leave your most preferred schools for the back-end of your visit schedule. You will be better prepared and more confident. You will also gain more experience with the process and won’t be as nervous. I agree.

Good point. My daughter was very nervous going in to that first visit, although looking back that was one of her better interviews. She did schedule what she thought was going to be her favorite last for that very reason. Turns out the 2nd and 6th schools she visited were her favorites. For her at least, order of the visits didn’t seem to have much impact at all on how the visits went or her sense of where she would fit.

Some kids fall in love with a school, or hate a school. Most others vary in the midrange. Some are just “so, so” with all of the schools, and have no clear favorite or eliminates.

I visited only one… so I do not know.

I’m so unhelpful for these ‘application experience?’ threads because mine was so boring.

=] Okay I’ll keep that in mind. It’s good to know. Thank you to everyone who replied!

I visited my favorite first and it stayed my favorite. I didn’t really notice a preference based on when I visited. I just stepped onto a campus and knew whether I wanted to go there or not.
