Visiting Student

<p>I’m a student of physics at ETH Zurich and I’m planning to attend an american university as a visiting student next fall. Cornell is an option. How can I organizate it? Is there a special application and do I have to do any tests? Is the “admission” as a visiting student competitive?

Q: What is a “visiting student”?</p>

<p>A: You’re a visiting student if you want to take classes at Cornell while you are enrolled at another institution, or you already hold a bachelor’s degree and are seeking admission to prepare for graduate study or a career.</p>

<p>Visiting students must complete the transfer application in the Guide for Transfer Students and submit any applicable supplemental materials.</p>

<p>If you’re accepted as a visiting student, you’ll need to take at least twelve credits each semester, with half to two-thirds of your work in the college to which you’ve applied. You can enroll as a visiting student for a maximum of two semesters. Note: Visiting students are not eligible to earn a degree, and they do not receive financial aid.
