Visiting UVa

Excellent point Charlie. While S2s interactions w admissions were excellent, after he matriculated his dealings have been with his department office, the registrar, etc. We stopped by Thornton Hall during one pre admission visit as he had some questions. Watching how students were treated as he waited his turn, the patience they were afforded and the obvious knowledge base the staff had, the willingness the staff had to speak to and answer questions for a prospective student was very impressive. They asked if S2 would like to speak with a professor. With a phone call, ten minute wait, and no appointment, a professor in S2s intended major met with him, not for a sales pitch, but to talk to him, listen and answer questions, and really get S2 thinking about what he wanted to do in school. He spent close to an hour with him. It really made an impression on S2. Since then every interaction with the staff at Thornton has never failed to deliver. They are always helpful and know the answer to everything you could think of related to SEAS.
